One thing in our favour is that the wehrmacht I am sure is beaten
and their last real power is defending Kalach
We have a small and isolated group in H3 which I intend to deal with
once that is dealt with I am sure they cannot challenge us again in H3
The '?' in D14 I am sure is a romanian brigade and I believe they will
come to challenge us at CP11 in sector G15

Later today I will go through the stats and work out what they have left in
terms of armour that we cannot see
I am concerned with the '?' in D14 and B/C12 south of the airfield


Here is a draft plan for Thursday

Attack Targets
1) CP sector H3
2) CP sector E12
3) Marder sector F7

Defend Targets
1) H10 --> F10 tanks advancing
2) G6 --> E5 tanks advancing
3) CP sector H3

I plan on sending an early strike with 9 escort fighters to H3
Once the strike is finished we will leave a pair of fighters high over the CP
as an area denial force whose presence alone will discourage axis bombers

The rest of this force will retire north with a view to attacking the CP in
E12 and covering our tanks


We will send 4xPe.2 or IL2M to attack the bunkers in E12
these will have to take the long way around as they are without escort

From the east edge of the map we will send the backup flight of 12 fighters
who will go to the central sectors to defend our tanks with the other fighters
Once the force of 12 fighters arrive over the tanks all other aircraft will head to the CP in E12

We will also be sending 2xPe.8 to fly in close formation at high alt to photo recon Kalach area
Both bombers have 10 photos each and both bombers are to use all 10 photos over Kalach
we need perfect intel before our battle on monday
They will be escorted by 2x Yak-9s
These will probably be assigned to the IAF

Lastly we are sending a group of aircraft deep behind the lines to attack the supply column in B13
which is heading to the airfield in the north and also to attack the '?' in D14

This group will takeoff and rush to H3
Once over the target the IL2s will fly a circle over the city at 300mtr
I will take the Lagg and will attack the tanks first
If I run out of ammunition and tanks are still alive we will call the IL2 to attack
the reason for this is we need the IL2's to attack a different target
As soon as all tanks are destroyed we will retreat north
and leave the Yak 9 to climb to 8000mtr over the CP and stay there

Ok I have finalised the plan and aircraft allocations as follows

The plan may appear complicated but is actually pretty simple
Our aircraft can be split into 3 main groups
Group A are first into action Group B are the cavalry to save Group A and Group C are independant flights

The early objective in the central sector is to deter attack by your presence over the battlefield
climb high and avoid combat just by extending back towards our airfields in I10 + I9
If you are forced into a fight take it very low over the tanks in H10 or the forests in E11 for flak support
Additional fighters will arrive after around 40mins of the mission


8000mtr FIGHTER SWEEP H3

You are to takeoff and climb hard and make best speed to H3 establish a presence over the CP and await the strike team


Group A will takeoff and rush to their targets. Once the strike team arrive over the target in H3 the IL2s will fly a circle over the city at 750mtr
The Lagg 3-ITwill attack the tanks first. When out of ammunition the single seat IL2 will be called to attack
The IL2M will not attack this target
When finished with the tanks we will head to F6/7 to destroy the Marder and then onto E12 to destroy bunkers and infantry
The Yak 9 from this group will remain at H3 to protect the tanks coming from the north



GROUP B
CAVALRY CAP - 8 a/c
4xYak7 - 100% - default - 296th 3 3 - R5-->I9 - IAF
4xYak1B - 100% - default - 47th 2 1 - R5-->I9 - IAF
Takeoff and head direct to sector H3. You should arrive over the sector at 7000mtr+ ready to join the fight from above
Once the attack is over follow the strike team across the map to E12



GROUP C
BUNKER ATTACK - E12 - 4 a/c
4xPe.2 - 60% - 2x500 + 2x250 - 514th 1 1 + 1 3 - Q15-->Q15 - 102nd
Take-off and fly the long way around to the target, take a slow flight and aim to start your attack at around 45mins into the mission


PHOTO RECON - 4 a/c
2xPe.8 - 70% - 10 photos - 134th 1 1 + 1 2 - S9 Supply Point-->H13 - IAF
2xYak 9 - 100% - default - 9th 1 1 - Q15-->I10 - IAF
The Pe.8 have an airstart in sector S9 you should head north to the airfield in Q15 where the escort Yaks takeoff
the Yak 9 should takeoff and climb over the airfield
Once both flights are together head south-west to Stalingrad before heading west to photograph Kalach from 6000mtrs
We need both aircraft to use 6 pictures over Kalach and then head north-north-east to use the remaining photos over the CP in E12
Finally head to H13 to land

Takeoff and head to M17 before heading west to Kremenskaya in sector D17. Once you reach Kremenskaya turn south to search and destroy the axis '?' last seen in sector D14. Once you have finished all rockets head to sector E12 and strafe german infantry on the hill west of the control point.
